On September 9, the SIO held the opening ceremony for postgraduates of Grade 2022. Fang Yinxia, Director of the SIO, Zheng Yulong, Mei Xianjun and Chen Jianfang, Deputy Director of the SIO, and leaders in charge of various departments and laboratories (centers and institutes), postgraduate tutors, as well as all freshmen and new personnel who entered the SIO in 2022 attended the ceremony.
Fang Yinxia, Director of the SIO, introduced the development history of the SIO and the basic situation of postgraduate training to all the freshmen and new employees, urged freshmen to align their small goals of personal growth and development with the needs of the state and society, work hard, move forward bravely in the current of the times, constantly expand their international vision and innovation awareness, and strive to become a new force in the field of marine scientific research.
Ren Jian, the representative of the tutors, encouraged the freshmen to establish a plan, and constantly accumulate various scientific research skills, thus achieving a qualitative leap. Hao Yuxin, the representative of the freshmen, said that they should cherish the learning opportunity in the SIO, make continuous efforts, live up to their youth and achieve due achievements in their respective fields. All the freshmen also introduced themselves vividly and showed their style on the stage at the opening ceremony.
